This happens in the world, and in our country also alas. This has recently been demonstrated when it has been discovered and dismantled which is possibly the largest birds of Spain trafficnetwork.

Environmentalists such as SEO/BirdLife, WWF and ecologists in action organizations have recognized the good work carried out by the SEPRONA, service of protection of the nature of the Civil Guard. A major criminal network has been able to dismantle which in an operation.

In this regard, it should be noted that at least one of the suspects involved in this network of trafficking of birds was working on projects of the Junta de Andalucía. Agency that personará in the case along with the above mentioned environmental organizations who assume the role of the accusation in defence of the conservation of birds of prey plundered.

Spain Rios decrease flow

Among the main consequences of climate change, not only we find noticeable increase or change in temperature, but other consequences, which may or not detach from it, with the loss of biodiversity , or what compete us on this occasion, the decrease in the flow of the rivers, result not only increased evaporation , but a disturbance in the water cycle.

As it has been announced recently, within the framework of the Conference "river conservation: threats, challenges and opportunities for a sustainable future" organized by the Fundación bbva, have given to the different conditions that have rivers and Spanish river basins, and his apparent loss of flow, with data rather than alarming.

The decrease is estimated at an average of 10%, caused not only by climate change, but by the establishment of dams, canals, reservoirs and other modifications that have not been adapted to a suitable water plan .

Has been highlighted in addition Spain is one of the countries of the world with a greater number of dams per km of river, of which at least 1,200 are superior to 15 metres in height, assuming a major threat to fluvial species, to help improve the quality of the waters.

At the Conference also been attention to compliance with the legislation, which estimate has very little control because of a decrease in the funds budgeted for it, which leads to jeopardize not only the biodiversity of a river, but also the supply of drinking water.

The proposal is not only the application of technology, coupled with investment for their development, but also a correct solution that does not interfere with the natural river channel, which leads to the current decline in the flow.

The basin of the Mediterranean Sea has not remained alien to these factors, which was joined a marked overexploitation of resources, where there has been a high point in the Segura basin, where the percentage of the water consumed by envelope available resources has come to 224%, where the rivers remain dry in several months of the year.

Added to this in addition the appearance of the so-called Emerging pollutants, which do not have a specific control and tend to escape from the sewage treatment plants, affecting the ecosystem of the River, mostly being used both human and veterinary drugs .

Plan of saving and energy efficiency

The Council of Ministers has approved today the new Savings Plan and Energy efficiency for Spain. The main objectives are to achieve a saving of EUR 2,300 million a year on energy imports and in 12.5 million tons per year to reduce the emissions ofCO2. This new plan provides at the same time holding an investment of EUR 1,152 million.

Production energy Spain

Energy production plays an important role in the economy of a country, and even more so in the case of Spain, where it occupies approximately the 2.5% of the gross domestic product, and obviously be the basis for all industries, the sector of tourism and many more.

Parque Eolico

But unfortunately, in recent years there has been a limitation in regards to its economic growth, since it could not count the amount of energy resources necessary, particularly with regard to non-renewable energywhere there are very few sites, for their extraction, and there was a pressing need to import.

Central Termica

Although not as drastic as the Word suggests, the energy crisis includes failure to supply the country himself, using much of the own energies, having a degree of self-sufficiency that barely reaches 23 per centwhich is the same as saying that at least 77% of the electrical energy used has been prepared after an import from abroad.

Added to this is that the energy deficit has marked a average of the 39.6% in a period between 1995 and 2003, while imports of energy products during the 2003 involves an expenditure of about 18.190 million euros, from which stemmed a 7.614 thousands of tonnes of crude oil, and the import of some 1.553 thousands of tonnes of Natural Gas.

Central Nuclear

Since the year 2000 to the present day, it is estimated that there has been a growth in the order of 56% in the production of thermal power stations, to work with the burning of fossil fuels, while renewable energies saw an increase of 26%.

Currently the main sources of energy produced in the country (covering 29% of the electricity demand) comes from power combined cycle, wind energy can meet a demand of 13 per cent, as demonstrated during the year 2009.

This is compounded further nuclear power stations, which cover approximately 20% of the demand, although the moratorium has announced a further dismantling and downtime in the next few years.

In this way, it is shown that support for renewable energy in the country, is imperative to ensure that in future they can further meet demand, and they can provide a source of energy clean.

Law of plastic Spain bags

Since this blog have been following some of the news more relevant and statistics relating to the use of man invented and called plastic bag .Ley de bolsas de plástico España The plastic bag is part of our culture, the culture of "developed" countries, culture focused on the rapid and destructive, cradle of antagonistic culture of environmentalism. The Government begin to act, and Spain has imposed to eliminate plastic bags to the year 2018. Or better said, we already know that they shall prohibit directly. All of the law of Spain plastic bags.In Spain we have some data that can help us to understand the seriousness of the issue of plastic bags : Consumimos 250 per inhabitant and year plastic bags.A plastic bag has a useful half-life of 12 minutes, its production and distribution consumes oil, water and energy and emits four grams of CO2. In total they generate 0.1% of the national emission of CO2 .. It takes centuries to decompose and most ends up in landfills. And on the shores of the world. 20% Of the garbage collection of the beaches are packed.080909x2 You can say events like this in the absence of common sense often make use of the law. States in this regard Act that respects the environment. And although I have my doubts about this matter, I believe acting more oil depletion and the economic salvage mammals which they drowning due to plastic bags, always relieved knowing that something is done.In this way, we know that Spain has released a schedule of work and has been the table in order to fulfil the dream of many environmentalists eliminate total consumption of plastic bags .. To do this: from the first January 2015, supermarkets and other businesses that use should give you a message about the damage caused environmental message that will be determined by the Ministry. In packets of tobacco, pictures of cancerous lungs may be replaced by islands of plastic bags in sea or forceful slogans as "the bags kill marine mammals".For 2013, 60% of plastic bags should be biodegradable.By 2016, 80% of plastic bags must be biodegradable.2018 Completely prohibit the use of single-use plastic bags. Except for those used to save fish (that struck me deeply)2177.pic

But on the other hand, and as always, we have to think about the thousands of people who work in factories they engaged in the manufacture of the number of bags you wish to remove from the market. The consequence of all these micro-economies composed of small business and many employees will be somewhat disastrous. Only you get used to the new materials for the construction of bags biodegradable or engage in otherwise.

Now we can see the impact on communities as the Andalusia, where this sector has called for the withdrawal of the tax plastic bag, made to reduce this consumption.

Pollution water Spain

Following the posts related to pollution in Spain, I decided to comment on the contamination of water in Spain. I take also to remind, that in previous posts we've talked about light in Spain pollution, noise pollution in Spain and air pollution in Spain.

Water pollution or water, is mainly in the action or the effect of introducing some material or induce conditions on water involving, directly or indirectly, as a harmful alteration of its quality in relation to their subsequent uses or their environmental services. The sea is often receive a large amount of waste a year. But in recent years, is has been noticing as they were filled our waters from pollutants, resulting products all of our consumer society. A society ever more sick burn spotlight is where littering. Sites like the sea, that sooner or later we will make pay the consequences.contamisuelo Spain pollution is concentrated mainly on the coast. Being surrounded by water and thanks to tourism, our country is able to withstand tons of rubbish in their costs.Fisiosanitaria pollution is very important that affects seriously our countries very important to know that this type of pollution is also much in the agricultural sector mainly due to the used pesticides which are entered in the land and seep into the water.

Elcogas launches the first CO2 capture plant in Spain

Elcogas, operates since 1998 the plant integrated gasification combined cycle (GICC) of Puertollano (Ciudad Real), has completed the implementation of its pilot CO2 capture unit.

Starting this week the plant will begin producing ready to store CO2 or Santiago, becoming, once optimized processes, to produce up to 100 t/day of CO2, which is enough to continue with research for recycling or Santiago an industrial scale, or to transfer it for tests to be performed previously to the establishment of geological storage of CO2.

This technology is one of the three pillars, along with improving efficiency and the use of renewable energy, referred to by the Intergovernmental Panel on climate change, United Nations, the International Energy Agency, and by the European Commission, para mitigation of climate change in the short and medium term.

The implementation of the capture of CO2 in central GICC is associated H2 obtaining opens it a way to efficiently co-production, economic and environmentally, H2 and electricity with indigenous fuels.

The pilot plant has been built within the singular and strategic project "CO2 technology" with the support of the Ministry of science and innovation, and the key and resolute support of the governing body of communities of Castilla - La Mancha.

In this environment begins a period of testing for characterization and data extraction to determine their application a mayor of scale. Posteriormente unit will be offered as research platform for development and demonstration of CO2, producing clean H2 and Santiago or storing CO2 capture processes scientific and industrial community.
