New Wind Energy System: Increased Wind Speeds

Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Worcester, Massachusetts, says that the combination of multi-axis system Turbo (MAT) and Augmenter MMW will create a wind energy technology for electricity generation cost in locations with low wind speeds, and thereby increase production.

The wind augmentation system that uses has a fairly simple and inexpensive approach to device for increasing wind speeds directed to the turbine by 70%, which is said to triple the electricity generated by the turbines.

Megawatts says this could eliminate the need for towers more than 80 meters high in some areas turbine, reducing costs for both materials and facilities and allowing wind turbines that generate electricity profitably in areas where wind speed is lower.

According to the company, the new enhancement system is nearing completion, and the intention is to establish a comparison with previous and verify data.
